Mrs. Tara Khaled is excited for her third school year at SFdS as the counselor! Mrs. Khaled was born and raised in South Houston where she attended St. Helen’s Catholic School for elementary. Mrs. Khaled attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where she completed student teaching as a second grade teacher in SAISD. After college, Mrs. Khaled started her first year teaching in HISD and met her husband Joseph. They have been married for 8 years. After spending years as a public school teacher in HISD and SBISD, she went back to college for school counseling. She graduated with a master's degree in Education from the University of St. Thomas when her daughter was 6 months old! After much prayer and reflection, Mrs. Khaled took her first counseling position at SFdS after falling in love with the campus community. Mrs. Khaled loves spending her spare time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs, Jack and Olive. Her favorite things are music concerts, sushi, beach days, crafting, and watching movies!
