She remembers that her daily practice of the language consisted in listening to American music and watching movies in English. When it was time to choose a university she jumped at the opportunity to attend an American University. She graduated from the University of Houston and has been teaching Spanish for the past twenty-five years.
She met her husband at U of H and has been married since 1980. She has three wonderful kids and four beautiful grandchildren. At home she always encouraged her kids to learn foreign languages, they all are fluent in English, Spanish, and French. Her hobbies are traveling to foreign countries, gardening and cooking.
She looks forward to assisting her students in learning a language that has become so important in today’s world and encourages the students to practice Spanish at every opportunity, both in the classroom and at home.
