As a dedicated member of her community, Ms. Betts is dedicated to helping others. She grew up in New York City, where she was exposed to hardships and injustice. Her goal is to work as a school social worker in high-risk communities after graduating from a Master’s degree program in Social Work. A passionate advocate, Betts is currently researching ways to eradicate the injustices that are happening to Black women and children. Currently, Ms. Betts is teaching Pre-K 3, her first year in the field, and she is thrilled to be preparing our future leaders.
She is the mother of a beautiful 2 year old girl named Skylar. As a mother, she is very passionate about the topic of motherhood and child development, and this translates into our classroom. The SFds community is excited to welcome Ms. Betts as a beacon of hope for our pre-ks students.
